Hello, fellow travelers. Even though our adventure is several month away, I'm beginning to dream about and can almost smell the Rwandan air. I know we are all extremely busy with our lives and work, but perhaps we can begin to post to this blog and get the conversations about our travels and specific expedition topics restarted.
The picture is of me poking at a termite hill in Akagera Park in the eastern part of Rwanda. We may have the opportunity to spend some time in this wonderful preserve where giraffes, elephants, zebras, hippos, monkeys, and hundreds of other animals live protected from poachers. During July, the dry season, the park is mainly tan and brown, a real contrast to the lush greenery of the wet season.
I look forward to our time together.
